Analyzing and Optimizing Your Funnels
Know thy numbers. To create the highest converting landing pages and home pages, you must know your funnel percentages. You should be able to hold daily, or weekly meetings reviewing and analyzing your funnels. You can do this for free with Google Analytics or dive really deeper with premium products like Mixpanel or Kissmetrics.
Other business numbers to grow your business:
Traffic > Leads > Conversions = Customers
Customer > # of Transactions > Average Sale = Revenues
Revenues > Margins = Profits

Be organized, track, nurture and grow your e-mail list.
Before you can send a large amount of traffic to your website, you must have a system for collecting emails (also known as a CRM). If you contact form entries are only being sent to your email, you have a leaky bucket. It is impossible for anyone to keep it all organized, track emails, grow your list, nurture lost prospects, and automate an engagement series for higher conversions with any email platform.

Split Test (A/B) Everything
Split testing (also known as A/B testing) provides your company’s web developers, marketers, and management the ability to run controlled experiments on your home page, landing pages, and other web pages. This takes the guess work out. Many times we ran experiments believing “A” would beat “B” to later find out that your visitors can be tricky.
By testing and analyzing results inside of Google Analytics or another testing software, you can gain a keen understanding of your website visitors and subscribers. Once you have a clear winner, run the test again and again and watch your conversions rise.

Retargeting is a magnetic marketing method for bringing (already visited) potential customers back to your website that greatly enhances the percentages of conversion and people who’ve already bought from you in an inexpensive way.
Other targets are:
- Web visitors who’ve visited a landing page but haven’t yet provided contact information
- Web visitors who’ve visited a product page(s), but haven’t purchased yet
- Web visitors who’ve bought a product (or service), but haven’t purchased the upsell/cross sell
- Web visitors who need to be ‘ascended through your funnel,’ after having downloaded a piece of content

Landing Pages are distinct pages within your website where internet users ‘land’ after being driven from an inbound traffic source (i.e. Facebook or Google PPC Ad, social media posting, etc…). Landing pages are specifically built with a single conversion objective. Unlike your home page, a landing page should be designed, written and developed with one business purpose in mind.
The role of lead generation landing pages is to capture visitor information, (i.e. name, email address, phone number). Its singular purpose is to collect user data allowing you to market to and connect with these prospects in the future.
